Agendas & Minutes 2014

Members of the public are welcome to attend the meetings of the Parish Council and its Committees. The dates are shown below. To open an agenda or the minutes of a meeting please click on the appropriate item below. Please note that we aim to publish minutes as soon as practical after a meeting. Once published minutes remain as DRAFT minutes until formally confirmed at the next meeting.

Public Presentations A period of ten minutes is set aside at the beginning of each meeting for parishioners to raise matters of concern. We encourage parishioners to make presentations but regret that the rules of debate do not allow members of the public to take part in subsequent discussion. When matters of a confidential nature are to be discussed members of the public may be excluded by resolution of the meeting.

NOTES

Parish Council meetings
are held in the Exhibition Room of the Village Hall.

Committee meetings are normally held in the Parish Council Office but may revert to the Village Hall if the number of attendees cannot be accommodated.

Planning Committee meetings. Members of the public are welcome to attend our to address the councillors in support or rejection of a planning application. Most plans are for extensions or alterations to a property which are an improvement and can easily be considered as appropriate and therefore gain support by the Parish Council.

The Parish Council recommendation is forwarded to the National Park Planning Department. If our opinion conflicts with that of the Planning Officers the application will go forward for consideration by the NPA's Development Control Committee. We usually attend their meetings in person to make our point, for or against.

The NPA is the Planning Authority and it is they who make the decisions on whether applications are granted or refused. A refusal can be taken to the Planning Inspectorate as an Appeal. Please contact the Clerk for further information.
