Precept Report, Financial Year 2026/27
Brockenhurst Parish Council's Precept for the year April 2026 - March 2027 is Β£218,049.00, which is an increase of 59p per week per Band D property.Β Figures are based on a Band D property which in Brockenhurst equates to Β£107.82 for the year. (The Ministry for Housing, Communities, and Local Government states that the average Band D Precept charged by local precepting bodies nationwide for 26/27 is Β£2,392).
Until last year, Brockenhurst Parish Council kept the precept at Β£42.49 - prior to that the last rise was for the 2016/17 financial year. The cumulative effect of inflation together with higher running costs, increased project activity, and the renewal of aging assets, has required a further increase.
