Precept Report, Financial Year 2024/25
Brockenhurst Parish Council's Precept for the year April 2024 - March 2025 is £135,281.00, which is an increase of £54,286 from April 2023 – March 2024. Figures are based on a Band D property which in Brockenhurst equates to £70.79 for the year and represents an increase of £28.30 in the parish council element of your NFDC council tax bill. (The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities states that the average Band D Precept charged by local precepting bodies nationwide for 24/25 is £85.88).
This is the first increase in the precept for eight years, which has remained at £42.49 since the last rise for the 2016/17 financial year. The cumulative effect of inflation together with higher running costs and the renewal of aging assets, has now required an increase.
